The Front Steps Project Wilton

Hello, Wilton! it has been 1 year since we participated in this project. ONE YEAR! In that year, so many things changed for many of us in our community including my family moving to COlorado. And here we are, ONE year later, and I just had to stop for a moment and spend some time looking back at these incredible families i got to photograph during our first two month period of isolation. i am honored that i was able to do this for a community that i love. i mean, scroll down the page and look at our town!

hopefully, we are on the other side of this and i just love that we will always have these moments captured of a time when our world was changing and how we as a town came together.

Wilton also made it into “The front steps project book” I am so excited to got to share with the world the KINDness of our community. two families were also chosen to be featured in the book! YOu can purchase the book on AMazon.

The purpose of this project is to bring us together when we might feel isolated. I aim to highlight the faces of our community during a time when we might not see them in passing at the grocery store, coffee shop, on the train or at the gym. Participating in this project is also an opportunity to step up to help those who need it most right now in CT. This is FREE! I just ask that a donation of any amount be made to the organizations listed below.

How I did it.

  • I am taking five minute ‘Front Steps Portraits” for a couple of hours each day of OUR town’s families on their front steps. This is documenting a time in history, documenting YOUR family AS YOU ARE right now! Pajamas are totally allowed! Crazy hair... I don't care! Fido wants to join, bring him out!!!

  • You will receive an email from me the day before if you are on my portrait route for the next day. It will contain a 2 hour window that I will be in your area.

  • I will text or call you when I arrive at your home

  • You can step outside with your family, remain on your front steps, where I’ll be standing near your driveway or street, at LEAST 10 feet away

  • I physically interact with no one, and touch nothing, during these sessions. But, my regulars know that I “DO” know how to have FUN…even from 10+ feet apart.

  • Photos will be available for digital download on a group link and posted on this page. Please note if you do not want your image on the group download link.

  • With your permission, your family photo will be posted on this site and on my social media site #TheFrontStepsProjectWilton

In lieu of payment, I just ask that a donation of any amount be made to:
